I am currently a lecturer at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation at Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST).
I obtained my Ph.D. in Electronic Systems Engineering from Hanyang University in South Korea in 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Taek Lyul Song and Prof. Darko Musicki. After completing my Ph.D., I worked on algorithm-related development in target tracking, SLAM, and artificial intelligence at Geely Auto, Huawei, and BYD Auto. My current research focuses on mobile robot spatial intelligence algorithms.
Research
-
Autonomous Mobility
I develop perception, localization, decision-making, and motion methods that help mobile robots navigate safely and robustly in complex real-world environments. My work combines modular navigation systems with learning-driven approaches to improve adaptability, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Areas: Spatial Perception & Localization · Autonomous Decision-Making & Navigation · Learning-Driven Motion
-
Spatial Cognition & Memory
I study how robots understand scenes, objects, places, and spatial relationships, and how they build long-term memory to maintain knowledge of changing environments. This work focuses on organizing spatial information over time so robots can reason about where things are, what has changed, and how to respond.
Key Areas: Spatial Understanding · Spatial Reasoning · Long-Term Spatial Memory
-
Human-Robot-Environment Interaction
I explore how robots understand human intentions, use environmental information, and plan actions autonomously to complete service and task-execution scenarios. My research aims to make robots interact more naturally with people and operate more effectively in everyday environments.
Key Areas: Human-Robot Interaction · Robot-Environment Interaction · Autonomous Task Execution
